- Welcome new members
- Introduction of Officers & their roles in NHS
- Website introduction & Google Classroom
- Creating and organizing folders
- 10 hours of community service
- Tutoring sign-ups (community service hours)
- Bulletin & Website updated to current information
- Officer Speeches (Knowledge, Leadership, Character, Service)
- Breast Cancer Awareness Sale
- Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser money due
- NHS Shirt money was due
- Induction Rehearsal on November 16th & 17th during the first two morning period time slots
- Officers have speeches reviewed by English teacher and print four copies prior to the Induction
- Induction will be on November 18th, 2021 at 7pm in the PAC Center (members arrive by 6:15pm)
- NHS Spelling Bee will be held at Becton on November 24th. All NHS students are required to attend two of the four spelling bee practices. Visit the Spelling Bee Resources page for some practice words.
- Complete "Thanks a Latte" notes for teachers by November 12th. Officers will distribute the cards, coffee, and cookies to the teachers on November 23rd.
- Think of your favorite recipe to share for our December group project
- Always remember to log your tutoring hours and make sure a supervising adult signs off on them
- Save your pics somewhere special & safe!
- Each member will sell at least 20 Candy Grams (collect until the 16th). Turn in all money and papers by the 17th. Officers will organize on Monday, December 20th & handout on December 21st & 22nd.
- ISP Opportunity at the East Rutherford Tree Lighting
- ISP Opportunity at Becton's Time Capsule Event on December 11th
- Attendance will be reviewed (remember to attend all meeting and participate in all activities and events)
- Complete Snowflake Activity and turn in by December 9th
- There will be no group service events in January
- Sign up as a School Store volunteer on Google Sheet posted in Google Classroom
- Complete Heart Activity by the February Meeting Date. Create 3 hearts of your choice on the recipient and 3 showing how you show love to others or yourself.
- Tomorrow's Children Fun Cartoon Band-aid Drive: each member must hand in 4 boxes of cartoon band-aids.
- Work alongside Peer Leadership and speak with the Middle School
- Participate in Read Across America by recording yourself reading a children's book for the elementary schools. Create a slides presentation with the images of each page and follow instructions on how to properly record the video.
